How the score works
Points reward speed and are cut by every miss. Average reaction time on its own would flatter wild clicking — a spray of clicks lands on a target sooner than a single aimed one — so accuracy multiplies the result rather than sitting beside it.
For reference, visual reaction time is roughly 200 to 250 milliseconds before you have moved anything at all. Anything under 300 including the mouse movement is genuinely fast, and the targets shrink as the run goes on — so holding an average across all fifteen is harder than it looks after the first five.
Things worth knowing
- Scores reward speed and are reduced by misses. Average reaction time on its own would flatter wild clicking, because a spray of clicks lands on a target sooner than a single aimed one.
- There are two tables. The device one lives in your own browser and never leaves it; the global one is shared by everyone who plays, and your score only goes there if you tick the box.
- The global board is submitted by the browser, which means it is cheatable by anyone determined enough. It rejects impossible scores and keeps one row per name, but treat it as a bit of fun rather than a verified ranking.

Frequently asked questions
Does aim training actually work?
For the specific skill, yes — repeated practice at target acquisition measurably improves it, and the improvement partly transfers to games using similar movements. The transfer is not total, and time spent playing the actual game is usually more valuable than time spent training in isolation.
What sensitivity should I use?
Lower than most beginners choose, and above all consistent. Muscle memory is built against one sensitivity, so changing it repeatedly resets your progress. Many players use a setting requiring a broad arm movement for a full turn, which favours accuracy over speed.
Is accuracy or speed more important?
Accuracy first. Practising fast and inaccurate trains the errors in, and speed follows from confident, repeatable movement. The usual advice is to slow down until you are consistently accurate, then let the pace increase naturally.
Does hardware matter much?
Less than marketing suggests. A high polling rate and a high refresh display genuinely reduce latency, but the differences are small compared to practice and consistency. Mouse weight and grip comfort probably matter more than the sensor specification.
How long should I train?
Short sessions, ten to fifteen minutes, rather than long ones. Aim degrades with fatigue, and practising while tired reinforces sloppy movement. Frequency across days beats duration within a day, which is true of motor learning generally.
Why is my accuracy worse when I try harder?
Because tension degrades fine motor control. Gripping harder and rushing both reduce precision, which is why relaxed play often outperforms determined play. It is the same effect that makes people miss easy shots under pressure.
