Absurd Tools is a small, independently run site — 1001 browser-based tools built and maintained by Sumupid Productions LLC. There is no support desk and no ticket queue, but every message is read by a person, and bug reports in particular get acted on quickly.

Reporting a wrong answer
This is the most useful message you can send, and it is taken seriously. Every calculator here is covered by automated tests, but tests only catch the cases someone thought to write down. If a tool gives you a result you believe is wrong, include the exact input you entered, the answer the tool gave, and the answer you expected. That is usually enough to reproduce the problem within minutes. If you know the source your expected answer comes from — a textbook, a standard, an official table — mentioning it helps settle disagreements about rounding and conventions, which account for a fair share of reports.
Reporting a bug
For anything that misbehaves rather than miscalculates — a button that does nothing, a layout that breaks, a file that will not download — it helps to know which browser and device you were using. Most problems of this kind turn out to be specific to one browser, and knowing which one narrows the search enormously. If the tool involves opening a file, note the file type and rough size; a surprising number of issues come down to a format the tool does not yet handle gracefully.
Suggesting a tool
Suggestions are welcome, and several tools on the site exist because somebody asked. The ones that get built tend to share a shape: a specific job, done often, that currently needs a spreadsheet or an awkward search. A concrete task you personally needed done last week is far easier to act on than a broad category. There is a long backlog, so a suggestion may sit a while before it becomes a page — but it does get recorded.
Corrections and disagreements
Some tools involve judgement rather than arithmetic: which convention a unit follows, how a rule of thumb should be phrased, whether a piece of guidance is oversimplified. If you have expertise in a subject covered here and something reads as wrong or misleading, please say so. Corrections from people who know a field well have improved several pages, and being told plainly that something is wrong is more useful than being told politely that it is confusing.
Advertising, licensing and press
For questions about advertising on the site, licensing a tool for use elsewhere, or anything commercial, use the form above and pick "Something else". Requests to publish sponsored articles, paid links, or guest posts are declined as a matter of policy, so those messages will not receive a reply.
What happens to your message
The form above delivers straight to an inbox by way of a form-handling service, and mail to the address above arrives in the same place; your address is used to reply and nothing more. There is no mailing list and no newsletter, and messages are not shared or sold. Response times
This site is not anybody's full-time job, so replies are measured in days rather than hours, and during busy stretches some messages get a fix rather than a reply. If you reported something broken and later notice it works, that is probably what happened.
