Ask for forty and the youngest band gives you sixteen
Every problem is checked against the ones already on the sheet and discarded if it duplicates one — nobody wants 7 × 3 twice on the same page. That has a consequence at the small end. Asking for 40 of each kind:

The K–1 band multiplies numbers up to 5, which is 25 pairs, and once the commutative duplicates collapse there are 16 distinct questions in existence. Division from the same table gives the same 16. Asking for 40, 100 or 500 returns 16 every time.
Only the youngest band runs out, and only on those two strands (multiplication and division). It is not a fault — the alternative is repeating questions — but it used to happen silently, which is a poor thing to discover after running thirty copies. The sheet now says so when it comes up short, and why.
And every promise the generator makes holds up
The code behind these problems claims they always come out clean: whole-number division, no negative differences below grade 6, proper fractions over a common denominator, answers in lowest terms. Generating thousands and checking each claim rather than taking it on trust:

All of them hold. Grade 6 is the only band that produces negative differences, reaching -963 at the extreme, and the three bands below it never produce one. All 131 fraction problems share a denominator, keep both operands proper, and reduce their answers.
That is a duller result than finding a fault, and it is the one worth reporting. A tool that documents its own guarantees is making a testable claim, and these survive the test — which is the only reason to trust a worksheet you are about to hand to thirty children without checking every answer yourself.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the answer key on its own page?
So the worksheet can be handed over without it. It sounds obvious and it is the single most common annoyance with printable worksheets, where the answers sit at the foot of the same sheet and have to be folded under or cut off before use.
Are the problems different every time?
Yes — they are generated rather than drawn from a fixed set, so each sheet gives fresh problems at the same difficulty. That matters a great deal for practice, since a reused sheet ends up testing recall of the answers rather than the method behind them.
Does practice like this actually help?
For procedural fluency, yes, and the retrieval practice effect behind it is well supported by research. What it does not build on its own is conceptual understanding — a child who can execute a procedure without knowing why it works will come unstuck as soon as the problem is phrased differently.
How many problems is the right number?
Fewer than most worksheets contain. Twenty focused problems with real attention paid to the errors beats fifty completed mechanically, and long sheets quietly encourage speed over accuracy, which is the opposite of what practice ought to reinforce.
Should mistakes be corrected immediately?
Prompt feedback is considerably more effective than delayed feedback, because an uncorrected error simply gets rehearsed. Working through the wrong answers matters far more than the score itself, and understanding why an answer was wrong is where the learning actually happens.
Does anything get uploaded?
No. Worksheets are generated entirely in your browser, so nothing is transmitted and no account is needed at any point.
How should I pick the difficulty?
Aim for a level where most problems are solvable with effort and a few are genuinely hard. A sheet answered perfectly teaches nothing new, and one that defeats a child throughout teaches them the subject is not for them, which is a much more expensive outcome.
