The house edge is the number everyone quotes and it is not the one that decides what an evening costs. Expected loss is the edge multiplied by your average bet AND by how many decisions you face per hour, and that last term varies more between games than the edge does. American roulette with two zeroes carries a 5.26 per cent edge against 2.70 for the single-zero wheel, so the same game on the next table costs nearly twice as much for identical play. Meanwhile a low-edge game dealt quickly can cost more per hour than a high-edge game dealt slowly, which is why comparing edges alone reliably picks the wrong table. The poker tools here answer a different question, because in poker the edge is yours and the constraint is variance. A genuinely winning player still goes broke with an undersized bankroll, and the size that survives depends on the swings you actually measured rather than a rule of thumb someone repeated on a forum. That is also why a win rate over a few sessions means very little: the interval around it is usually wide enough to include losing. Card probability gets its own treatment because the common shortcut is wrong in a specific way. Multiplying per-draw percentages together assumes the deck does not change, and it does — every card you see alters what is left, so the exact answer needs the hypergeometric distribution rather than repeated multiplication. Every figure in this category is enumerated or computed exactly wherever that is possible, and labelled as a simulation wherever it is not.
